On 27.09.2024, 08:30, Timm Marquardt, Full-Stack Developer Software Tools at cip alpha, reported on his/our experiences with Polarion Java plugin development with VS Code as an alternative to development with Eclipse:

Polarion guidelines cover Eclipse as the IDE of choice for developing extensions. Due to limitations of Eclipse especially with the development environment setup inside a Docker container, Visual Studio Code can be used as an alternative with caveats. This workshop aims at providing setup guidance for Polarion Java Plugin development in VS Code and compare the advantages and disadvantages against Eclipse.
